Head Coach Bio: Al Heinemann
Al is the owner and head coach of Terminal City Training. He began coaching around 2004 while focused on distance running. After switching his focus to strength development he began coaching professionally in 2008.
In the early days after founding the gym he focused on training raw powerlifters and weightlifters. At that time he coached several provincial champions and is proud to have been a proponent and coach of female lifters when very few females stepped up to the platform.
Since those early days he has broadened his approach and offers coaching in a number of strength and fitness disciplines including general strength & conditioning, powerlifting, weightlifting, endurance, tactical athleticism, grip strength competition, and preparation for adventure.
Al's own athletic background is broad, spanning the range from infantry soldier, distance runner, and martial artist. His current personal initiatives lean towards jiujitsu, mountain hunting, and tactical athleticism.
Al writes monthly for thepathofstrength.com and he can also be found at alheinemann.com
